Role Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Sales and Business Development - The Senior Executive Corporate Sales is responsible for Free Zone promotion and lead generation, nurturing, and funnelling during outbound events, roadshows, conferences, exhibitions, trade missions, both locally and internationally. They support and drive the free zone’s outbound promotion and lead acquisition and funnelling program, intelligently positioning the value proposition to the client to ensure that free zone growth aspirations are achieved in the short and long term. The Senior Exec is also expected to drive awareness and uptake of value-added services and the cross selling of all other DMCC Departments.
The role is expected to contribute to the collective efforts of the team to achieve pre-set sales performance targets for the assigned focus territory. The Senior Exec of Corporate Sales will assist the department Head in taking DMCC to the cutting edge of sales innovation and relationship selling and ensuring the stakeholder engagement program is delivering deep relationships that drive mutual benefit, particularly demonstrating sales growth for DMCC.
Be the one point of contact for the initial sales process and responsible for passing warm leads onto the Business Setup team. To make sure that leads are ready prepared to be turned into happy operational licensed member companies who are using our products and services.
Continuously improve on sales techniques across all DMCC products and services, as well as contribute to developing marketing material, landing pages, campaigns, and content relevant to the focus regional territory, in collaboration with Marketing. Propose new corp. structures, products and value-added services to address demand in the assigned sales territory.
Work closely with property to gain a good up-to-date knowledge in order to appropriately advise clients of suitable property options where required.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Director of BD to develop an annual client acquisition strategy covering the regional territory assigned to the Sr. Executive. And to implement the strategy by carrying out all its deliverables.
- Contribute to identifying trends and provide inputs to the Director of Sales and Business Development for new product development and design and expansion of the DMCC offer as well as putting forward innovative ideas for the sourcing, identification and channelling of new leads.
- Participates in roadshows, events, and exhibitions identified to be part of the sales strategy road map and generate leads. Represents DMCC during roadshows and all events. Identifies and attends meetings with potential target corporates.
- Identify, assist and convert key companies. Generate and convert interest into strong leads to pass the Business Setup team.
- Is aware of and when necessary manages and hosts inbound delegations from the assigned territory and relevant to free zone and delivers the DMCC value proposition. Identifies opportunities for collaboration and lead generation. Builds strong relationships and ensures that proper post event follow-up is conducted.
- Equipped with the right tools, processes, practises, and is aligned with the ongoing learning and development programs to achieve lead generation targets.
- Works in an environment with sound leadership practises that motivates high performance and fosters positive team spirit.
- Develop new relationships with multipliers such as, trade associations, business councils, and industry groups and grow DMCC’s global footprint
- Identity and nurture new Consultants (CSPs) and International Service Providers in the assigned regional territory and work with them to develop existing and new geographies and sectors. Advise Business Setup & Development team to on-board and manage operationally.
- Contributes new ideas and innovation connected with sales performance. Assist in ensuring that sales processes are continually reviewed for efficiency improvements. Instils a learning-environment where ideas are widely generated.
- Create a collaborative working environment ensuring that internal stakeholders are engaged at the right time to create maximum success.
Qualifications:
- Degree in management or business development discipline.
- 5-7 years’ experience in Sales or Client Relationship Management with strong communication and sales skills.
- Previous client facing experience and strong people skills.
- Previous sales experience in professional environment.
- Commodities knowledge and experience an advantage
- Sound understanding of the market dynamics. Aware of and responsive to economic trends, government policies, etc.
