Job Summary
- Responsible for Atlantis The Palm and Atlantis The Royal
- This position is responsible for the comprehensive leadership, planning, guest service, strategic sales, and financial performance of the Group Sales & Events Sales Team and Marine and Water Park Sales Team to strategically manage existing accounts and develop new business for Atlantis The Palm and Atlantis The Royal from all key markets locally and internationally.
- A skilled strategic planner with a high level of leadership in MICE, Groups & Waterpark/Entertainment.
- A Sales leader with a strength in Business Development on Senior Global level, strong Marine & Waterpark Experience and strong People Management
- Responsible for lead generation and conversion of group leads allowing the groups segment to reach and/or exceed the departmental revenue and room night’s targets. Manages all sales activities including direct sales, sales solicitation, sales administration, and sales team for Group Sales, Aquaventure, Lost Chambers and Dolphin Bay.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing:
- Oversees all revenue generation for Aquaventure, Lost Chambers & Dolphin Bay and Group Sales
- Ownership of development of annual strategic sales & marketing plans (in conjunction with other areas) for each segment to support the departmental and revenue goals.
- Proactively drive sales activity to support both segments.
- Drives business development by maintaining close relationships with key influencers in Dubai and internationally across all distribution channels for both segments.
- Proactively drives sales by working with Business Development, Associate Director of Sales, Sales Managers & Sales Executives procure maximum revenue conversion and generation through existing key accounts.
- Maintains close contact with DMC’s, wholesalers and travel companies, through personal sales calls, telephone calls and written communications.
- Works with marketing to develop promotional activity locally and internationally.
- Maintaining existing agreements and processes.
- Representing Group Sales, Aquaventure, Lost Chambers and Dolphin Bay at trade shows.
- Maintaining rate integrity and minimizing cost of sale at all time.
- Monitors sales and marketing plan to ensure revenue budget objectives are achieved and plan is adjusted in a timely manner where a shortfall occurs.
- Stays abreast of and analyses current and potential markets and trends and makes sure that these are acted upon where required.
- Provides direction on market research and ensures key learnings are applied.
- Conducts weekly team meetings to keep team focused and motivated.
- Oversees production of accurate and meaningful sales reports.
- Directs all departmental administration to ensure team is as time efficient as possible.
- Works with Operations in respective businesses to ensure that all sales and marketing generated activity is implemented in accordance with operational guidelines and in the best interests of perfect guest service delivery.
- To identify gaps in the Market into which Atlantis, The Palm & Atlantis The Royal could be promoted effectively.
- To analyze the resorts and the destinations performance data in order to identify trends.
Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements
- With at least 5 years Hospitality Experience with Global Markets
- Commercial and Strategic Leadership Background
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Commitment to delivering a high level of Client Service, Leadership & Senior Account Management
- Strong managerial leadership skills, whereas it is evident that you can effectively manage and motivate a team to perform beyond expectations
- Strong analytical skills - to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges
- Excellent selling capabilities and the ability and desire to coach selling techniques to Team Members
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Excellent grooming standards
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Ability to work well under time pressure and/or demanding travel schedules
- Demonstrated previous experience in a Sales role with the proven ability to close a sale

- Relevant degree, in sales, business development or other relevant business field, from an academic institution
