Director of Learning & Development
Job Description
As the Learning & Development Director, you will lead the strategic vision for fostering a robust learning culture within the hotel while managing and inspiring the Human Resources team. This critical role is central to driving talent development initiatives, enhancing organizational performance, and promoting a culture of excellence in alignment with the hotel’s prestigious 5-star standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive Learning & Development strategy aligned with the hotel’s business objectives and the company’s brand standards. Identify training needs through quality assurance analysis, performance evaluations, guest feedback, and collaboration with departmental leaders. Design, implement, and evaluate leadership development initiatives to nurture current and future leaders. Oversee and deliver training programs focusing on service excellence, soft skills, technical skills, and brand standards. Collaborate with the Corporate Director of Learning & Development on projects and initiatives for future company-wide strategies. Lead the HR team to ensure efficient operations aligned with the hotel’s strategic goals. Implement initiatives to cultivate a positive workplace culture, driving employee engagement and retention.
Skills
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Adult Education or a related field. Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Learning & Development or HR, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of HR practices and local labour laws/compliance Proven experience in designing and delivering training initiatives in a luxury hospitality environment, with a particular focus on leadership level
