Reports To: Executive Director of Economic Affairs

Job Summary: The Director of the National Platform will lead and oversee the development, management, and continuous improvement of secure, scalable, and integrated technical systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate and high-quality data, delivering actionable insights through advanced analytics, and enhancing user experiences with intuitive tools and platforms. The Director will drive innovation, align strategies with national goals, and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement technical strategies for managing data platforms in alignment with national and organizational visions.
• Define and monitor the departments annual goals and KPIs, ensuring alignment with overall institutional strategies.
• Promote innovation and introduce solutions to address technical challenges and enhance system efficiency.

Functional Responsibilities:

• Design and oversee the implementation of secure and scalable data systems, ensuring data integration and storage efficiency.
• Lead advanced analytics initiatives using AI and predictive modelling to support strategic decision-making.
• Establish and enforce data standards, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and proactive error resolution.
• Develop user-friendly dashboards and visualization tools to improve stakeholder engagement and decision-making.
• Ensure seamless integration of various technical systems to enhance data flow and usability.
• Translate stakeholder needs into effective technical solutions and analytical reports.

Team and Stakeholder Management:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering technical and professional growth.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external entities, including government organizations, consultants, and international partners, to ensure alignment and smooth communication.

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Review and approve departmental reports for submission to relevant stakeholders.
• Identify and support professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and competencies.
• Ensure compliance with organizational values and behaviors in all departmental activities.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A master's degree or relevant certifications in AI, Big Data, or Advanced Analytics is preferred.

Experience:

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in data platform management, data analytics, or related fields for Bachelors degree holders.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing technical teams and delivering large-scale data projects.
