About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Director of IT, Data & Analytics to join Information Technology Team in Jumeirah Group & Corporate. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:  

• Established scalable, consistent data architecture and modeling standards to support governance and cross-system integration.
• Developed conceptual, logical, and physical data models, and set best practices for ETL pipelines and database design to meet analytical and operational needs.
• Spearheaded cloud-based data solutions using Azure Synapse, Databricks, Spark, and GraphQL to enable large-scale data processing and advanced analytics.
• Defined and enforced data governance frameworks to ensure quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, PIPL).
• Partnered with IT, engineering, and business leaders to align data architecture with strategic goals and drive data-driven decision-making.
• Recruited, mentored, and developed diverse analytics teams while fostering data literacy and promoting a culture of innovation across the organization

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years in data and analytics leadership roles with a proven track record of delivering business value through data initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with modeling tools, efficient data structure design, and expertise in data governance, data engineering, and advanced analytics methodologies.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), programming languages (e.g., Python, PySpark, SQL), cloud platforms (e.g., Azure), and data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Snowflake).
• Experience managing budgets and aligning data strategies with organizational priorities.
