Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
Professional qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration will be preferred.
Strong expertise in ERP system configuration, maintenance, and reporting.
Proficiency in master data management tools and methodologies.
Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
Familiarity with fleet management processes and procurement practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and training capabilities to engage diverse stakeholders.
Proven experience with Marine ERP system implementation in a procurement context.
7-9 years of experience in digital procurement, ERP system administration in Oil & Gas, Maritime or Shipbuilding industry.

GAC Marine operates from our fully-equipped marine base in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Our comprehensive offshore marine support includes anchor handling, project cargo transportation, platform supply, crew changes and supplies, as well as rig moves and tug & barge operations. GAC Marine is looking for the right person to join our team as a Digital Procurement Lead to be based at our Abu Dhabi marine base. The successful candiate will take on a key role responsible for driving the effective use of digital tools and systems in procurement processes, specifically within fleet management. This role encompasses ERP system administration, master data management, and process optimisation. The individual will lead the integration of digital procurement solutions, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance and data integrity.
Job Description
ERP System Oversight - Serve as the primary administrator for the Fleet Management ERP system, ensuring smooth functionality and performance. Configure and manage system settings, workflows, and user access based on operational needs. Coordinate with vendors and IT teams for system upgrades, troubleshooting and customisations.
Process Optimisation - Streamline and enhance ERP-supported procurement processes, aligning them with organisational goals. Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Training and Support - Provide training and technical support to stakeholders, including procurement, technical, and operations teams. Develop user guides, FAQs, and best practices for system usage.
Data Governance - Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data consistency, accuracy and security. Define and maintain standards for data entry, classification and taxonomy within the ERP system.
Data Maintenance - Regularly update and validate master data related to suppliers, vessels, contracts and procurement records. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data alignment across systems.
Data Analytics - Generate actionable insights through data analysis and reporting, supporting strategic decision-making. Monitor key metrics such as procurement costs, supplier performance and compliance rates.
System Integration - Oversee integration between the Fleet Management ERP and other digital procurement, compliance and finance tools or systems. Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability to support end-to-end procurement processes.
Innovation and Best Practices - Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in digital procurement and fleet management. Recommend and implement new solutions to enhance system capabilities and procurement outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement - Partner with procurement, finance, technical, operations and IT teams to understand requirements and improve system adoption. Act as a liaison between business functions and vendors for effective communication and collaboration.
