Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and skilled DevOps Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of modern DevOps tools and practices, a foundational understanding of coding (especially in GoLang), experience working with databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL, and some knowledge of network fundamentals. This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and contributes to enhancing system reliability and scalability.
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable software deployments. Automate infrastructure management and orchestration using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies. Monitor, maintain, and improve the performance, scalability, and security of existing infrastructure. Collaborate with development teams to streamline code integration, deployment, and configuration. Write efficient scripts and develop minor applications or services using GoLang to automate processes or solve operational challenges. Support, manage, and optimize database operations for PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and other database systems in the environment. Assist with backup strategies, performance tuning, and capacity planning for database infrastructures. Set up and manage robust monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure system health and performance. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and application issues promptly. Implement incident response procedures and participate in on-call rotations when required. Work closely with the development, QA, and network teams to align infrastructure efforts with project goals. Advocate for and implement DevOps best practices, including version control, continuous testing, and agile methodologies. Maintain a basic understanding of network infrastructure, including load balancers, firewalls, and VPN configurations. Collaborate with the network team to ensure secure and optimal network configurations. Implement security best practices in all DevOps activities to safeguard the company’s data and systems.
Qualifications
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer/Specialist in a fintech or high-availability environment. Strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, with GoLang being highly desirable. Hands-on experience managing and tuning databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL. Basic knowledge of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible. Familiarity with other databases like MySQL or ClickHouse. Basic understanding of security protocols and standards. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
Desirable:
Working experience within a Brokerage environment or financial services industry.
