Position: Design Studio Intern
Location: Hybrid (2 day reporting structure)
Duration: 6 weeks
We are an innovative team dedicated to enhancing visual storytelling through high-quality imagery. We are building a comprehensive image repository using stock images to streamline our creative projects. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and creative intern who can assist with curating and organizing images with a sharp eye for design and aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in sourcing, organizing, and categorizing stock images for DP World Foundation’s image repository. Collaborate with the creative team to understand the visual needs for various projects and help find appropriate images. Maintain a consistent naming and tagging system for images, ensuring ease of access and searchability. Review images for quality, relevance, and alignment with project themes or concepts. Identify visual patterns and logical parallels between concepts, helping create connections for future image searches. Suggest potential image adjustments or enhancements based on aesthetic trends and industry standards. Maintain and update an ongoing log of image metadata (e.g., license information, image descriptions, etc.).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
A keen eye for detail with a strong sense of design aesthetics and visual harmony. Basic experience with stock image platforms and image search strategies. Strong understanding of concepts such as colour theory, composition, and visual hierarchy. Ability to draw logical parallels between different themes and topics to curate relevant images. Proficiency in image organization tools or software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, OneDrive or similar tools). Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively. A passion for visual media and a drive to stay up to date with design trends.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with photo editing tools (e.g., Photoshop, Canva, etc.). A background in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field. A genuine interest in photography and visual storytelling.
