Our client is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join a well established Real Estate Development company in Dubai. The Design Manager will lead and manage the design development process for large-scale building and hospitality projects, ensuring that all design elements meet project specifications, deadlines, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Leadership: Lead and manage the design development process from initial concept to final approval. Quality Control: Review architectural and engineering plans to ensure they align with project specifications and regulations. Schedule Management: Monitor design schedules and ensure timely achievement of project milestones. Coordination: Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure design cohesion and smooth project execution. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards. Design Change Management: Review and approve design changes, ensuring they do not compromise quality or project goals. Cost, Quality & Feasibility: Collaborate with project managers to balance cost, quality, and feasibility in design decisions. Risk Mitigation: Identify and address design-related risks that may affect project timelines or budgets. Document Management: Maintain accurate records of design documents, iterations, approvals, and meetings.
RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or additional certifications such as PMP, LEED, or RIBA are preferred. Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in architectural design management, with preference for large-scale building or hospitality projects. Experience in the UAE or GCC region is advantageous. Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM applications, and other relevant design software.
Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and design presentations.
