Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.
Work under the direction of the Chef de Partie and Head Chef to ensure smooth service and kitchen operations.
Take responsibility for a specific section of the kitchen, helping to maintain a clean and organized environment.
Follow all recipes, procedures, and presentation standards to ensure dishes are prepared to the highest standard.
Ensure that all food is stored and handled in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Contribute to menu planning and food preparation for special events or promotions.
Manage inventory and ensure proper stock levels for your section.
Previous experience in a similar role with a luxury hotel or professional kitchen.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and cooking techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Passionate about cooking and eager to learn and develop new skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Qualifications
2-3 years in a similar role in a medium to large hotel.
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred.
Hospitality School Certificate is preferred
Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications an asset
