Greet patients or their families and inquire about the nature of their inquiry.
Provide information to assist patients or refer them to the appropriate contact within the organization or elsewhere.
Advocate for patients' and their families' rights, responsibilities, confidentiality, information, and education.
Develop and maintain a feedback/complaint procedure for customers to use and receive redress.
Communicate all relevant information to the Floor Supervisor on a daily basis.
Facilitate the flow of visitors/patients and ensure each person receives exceptional customer service in a friendly environment.
Provide information on medical insurance coverage to patients and diligently verify it before directing them to the doctor.
Investigate patient/visitor concerns and implement appropriate actions.
Keep accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers.
Handle patient-related tasks, telephone inquiries, cash management, and back-office work as per the duty roster.
Perform other related duties as assigned by higher authorities.
Comply with all occupational safety and health (OSH) and infection control policies, standards, and procedures, and cooperate with hospital management to meet these requirements.
Follow documented OSH procedures and instructions, including specific responsibilities.
Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
Report OSH hazards, incidents, near-misses, and issues, and assist with preparing risk assessments and incident reports.
Adhere to waste management procedures and policies.
Attend applicable OSH/infection control training programs, mock drills, and awareness programs.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systems.
