JOB PURPOSE:

Credit underwriting and exceptions channel

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

People Management

• Act as a role model and drive adherence to organisational values and ethics by employees of the assigned department to foster a value driven culture within the Group.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

• Ensure effective implementation of Credit & Collections Personal Banking functional policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.

Credit Initiation Management

• Processing the credit approval for non-engine related cases.
• Processing the exceptional approval cases which was raised and approved through the exceptions channel.
• Support Retention and Collections teams in their proposals.
• Participating in Enhance the use of technology in the credit initiation management to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Department.
• Daily sampling credit engine approved cases to ensure approval within the policy and report any decision failure.

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related discipline.

Minimum Experience

• 5 years’ relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 3 years in similar positions.
