Role Purpose:


As the Country Head, this role is responsible to take an enterprise wide approach to growing our franchise in The UAE and Kuwait. The role is focused on a region wide mandate and solving for a collective State Street approach.  This role will also be responsible for the regional sales management function across the MEA region. 


This role requires an experienced commercial minded senior manager with C suite interaction experience and a proven track record leading a team responsible for sourcing and closing  competitive new wins from both existing and prospective clients. As a leader within our MENA region and as a leader in our global sales organization, the ideal candidate should have a proven track record to interact with existing clients, with regulators and to penetrate new prospect organizations to introduce State Street, convey our value, and generate opportunities to grow business.  In-scope products and solutions include the full portfolio of Investment Services, Alpha and identified Global Markets capabilities.


Responsibilities


  • Establishing a country leadership team responsible for the creation and execution of an enterprise-wide country growth strategy
  • Driving key talent decisions and career planning beyond individual silos
  • Building our brand and market network/profile. Act as local spokesperson for STT and participate in industry bodies
  • Improve in country employee engagement and build a location culture of ‘one State Street’
  • Driving a country wide culture of risk and governance excellence
  • Building strong regulatory relationships and taking ownership of engagement agenda as well as all remediation plans agreed with local regulators
  • This role will lead the sales effort for the MENA region, overseeing all sales people and regional sales managers, and responsible for driving revenue, meeting/exceeding sales targets, and building a strong pipeline of potential deals. 
  • Lead the sales team responsible for new business sales, requiring the team to research opportunities, initiate discussions, build prospect relationships, manage the sales process and close deals that generate new revenue.
  • Responsible for delivering/exceeding annual sales and revenue targets by building and executing sales strategies and holding the sales team accountable for results.

Background Requirements:


  • Driven senior leader with experience in bringing senior leaders together to execute against a common goal
  • Proven track record in business development and P&L management
  • Demonstrated track record of putting State Streets interests ahead of own business requirements
  • Strong market profile with executive presence
  • In-depth multi-business knowledge
  • Proven track record in building deep partner based, collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • 15+ years successful sales experience
  • Demonstrated track record of individual and team quota achievement against multi-million targets
  • Proven ability to hunt out new clients and new relationships
  • Proven ability to gain access to and interact with C-level executives
  • Excellent time management and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills along with a high level of professionalism
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and influence colleagues and virtual team members 

Reporting Lines & Location


  • Directly into the Head of Strategic Growth Markets, dual to the EMEA Head of Sales
  • In country local business lines and corporate functions leads dual reporting to the Country Head
  • Onsite Abu Dhabi - 4 days per week
