We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our Group Corporate Communications team in the capacity of Corporate Communications Graphic Designer
Overview of the role
As part of Al-Futtaim’s Corporate Communications team, you will have a passion for all things design. Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, you will help to create visually compelling and emotionally engaging content across our full spectrum of corporate communications channels.
Tasked with leading, designing and creating a wide range of visual, photographic, web, social media and print materials, you will help to develop high-impact and high-quality communications campaigns and events - all in support of our business objectives.
There will be a special focus on support for our digital channels including websites, intranet and social media; helping to deliver successful strategies, content and conversations.
You will uphold our brand visual identity guidelines and be involved in new logo and assets creation.
A confident communicator, you will be passionate, curious and with a strong eye for detail. You’ll be able to work with a wide range of internal stakeholders, as well as build good working relationships with third-party agencies and suppliers in order to produce high-quality materials on time and in budget.
What you will do
Visual Design & Content
- Provides visual communications support to Al-Futtaim, developing and executing visual corporate communication assets in the style and spirit of the brand using a mix of creative skills,
- Works across the business to develop and deliver upon design briefs by gathering information and data to clarify communications objectives,
- Delivers creative and visual content across a wide range of platforms on a day-to-day basis including print, website, intranet, social media content, email, presentations, brochures, reports and events,
- Keeps abreast and shares developments and trends in design and design software amongst the wider team.
Website & Intranet Content Development
- Functions as part of a team to create compelling content for our corporate website and intranet channels through the creation of digital artwork and content,
- Supports the creation and implementation of new web content with a focus on increasing awareness of and supporting Al-Futtaim’s internal / external communications priorities,
- Keeps up-to-date with latest communications trends and best-practice to ensure constant innovation and improvement wherever possible.
Logo Design And Management
- Design new logos and other brand elements as needed. Manage and update the brand’s logo library, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Manages and keeps up to date our inhouse image and content library,
- Works with vendors on creative briefs and content production whenever needed.
Brand And Visual Identity Management
- Acts as a brand ambassador, actively supporting Al-Futtaim’s corporate brand guidelines; working to achieve consistency of messaging, ‘look & feel’ and helping to infuse the brand purpose, vision and values across the organization.
- Ensures that all designs and logos align with the brand visual identity guidelines,
- Ensures the group brand and visual identity guidelines are regularly kept up to date, and keep pace with the latest group developments.
- Drive brand and VI compliance and governance across the organisation,
- Deploy and champion long-term vision for a harmonized and consistent brand and visual language across the organization.
Design Hub Management
- Acts as the team leader of our design hub team based in Egypt.
- Supervise the team and the end-to-end process, from briefing through delivery, ensuring high-quality output that is on-brand and on-time. Review resources allocation to meet briefs and requests volume and deadlines.
- Oversee the creative output of the remote design hub, ensuring that all work aligns with the company’s brand identity and strategic goals.
- Mentor and guide junior designers within the hub, promoting skill development, creative growth and staying abreast of latest trends and innovations.
Deliverables & Outputs (the ‘product’ and value-add that gets created):
- Designs for a range of projects delivered on time in full
- Logo and Visual Identity creation with full brand guidelines
- Complete adherence to corporate brand and visual identity guidelines across all divisions and brands towards all channels: online, offline, events, signage, intellectual property, logo design and creation (in English & Arabic)

What equips you for the role
- Relevant Degree or Diploma in graphic design or digital design, visual communications or related study
- Solid experience in creative content development: 5 years+ of relevant design and creative content experience in an in-house or agency environment,
- Proven experience in design and creative content development; strong track-record in translating creative ideas into visuals,
- This role demands great attention to detail, the ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure. Effective stakeholder management skills are essential.
- Excellent graphic, writing and communication skills; Fluency in English is an essential requirement with the ability to translate complex ideas into accessible, clear communications and design thinking.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present and explain design concepts to non-design stakeholders.
- Experience working in brand logos design, visual identity guidelines development and brand management.
- Professional working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
- Professional working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in using a range of web / intranet / social media content management systems, standards and best-practices for site design, function and usability
- Proficiency in managing and creating content for social media platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube
- Video editing and/or animation ability
- Knowledge of printing and production is essential.
- Mobile/responsive web design experience an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript an advantage
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Awareness of latest trends and techniques in visual arts and best practices
