The Contracts Manager in the oil and gas construction sector plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing contracts pre & post-award. This position is vital for ensuring that all contractual obligations are met while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Contracts Manager will work closely with project managers, legal teams, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and mitigate risks associated with contractual agreements. This role requires extensive experience in contract management, negotiation, and a deep understanding of the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and oversee all aspects of Pre & post-contract administration, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  2. Collaborate with project teams to monitor contract performance and address any issues that arise.
  3. Conduct regular reviews of contracts to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  4. Negotiate contract modifications and amendments as necessary to align with project requirements.
  5. Prepare and present reports on contract performance and compliance to senior management.
  6. Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure clarity and understanding of contract terms.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  8. Provide training and guidance to junior staff on contract management best practices.
  9. Ensure all contractual documentation is accurately maintained and easily accessible.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations that may impact contracts.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience in contract management within the oil and gas construction sector.
  2. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  3. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  4. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  6. Proficiency in contract management software and tools.
  7. Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.

  9. Willingness to travel as required for project oversight.
