Performs the professional duties of a Consultant Pulmonologist in adherence to the delineation of privileges depending on the efficiency and skills of the particular individual.
Answer inpatients consultations from medical or other in patient services.
Orders diagnostic laboratory and X – ray examinations, determining the diagnosis and prescribing applicable therapy and taking the necessary preventive medicine.
Reviews journals and text books in order to keep current on latest techniques procedures and therapies.
Participate in continuing in- service training programs, Physician’ conference, etc.
Responsible for the proper practice of infection control guidelines in all clinical areas.
Active participation and sustained qualification in all cardio – pulmonary resuscitation programs.
Attends staff meeting and weekly rounds. Participates in in-service activities as required, i.e., morbidity & mortality conference, peer reviews, etc.
Performs additional duties as designated by the superiors.
