Overview
We are looking for a proactive individual to help drive registration and engagement for IDC's conferences and events across the Middle East. The Conference Assistant role requires a combination of marketing acumen, sales tele-calling, and customer service skills to build and nurture relationships with attendees and potential leads, contributing to the success of our events.
Responsibilities
- Proactively secure registrations through telephone follow-ups, keeping registration lists up-to-date and providing insightful reports on registrants' demographics, industries, and other key metrics.
- Track and analyse attendance trends to optimize outreach strategies, following IDC's guidelines.
- Do follow-up and reminder calls to registrants, answer inquiries, and provide event information in a professional and engaging manner. Build lasting relationships with attendees and prospects to foster loyalty and continued engagement with IDC events.
- Utilize a marketing mentality to identify and capitalize on lead-generation opportunities across various channels, including digital, social media, and email, aiming to encourage event registration and drive audience expansion.
- Develop and maintain a well-organized and detailed contact database for IDC's
- Gather feedback from attendees to enhance the event experience, identifying opportunities to improve content, services, and attendee satisfaction in future events.
- Work closely with the marketing and events team to contribute ideas, develop strategies, and implement improvements based on attendee insights and feedback to support and elevate IDC's event goals.
Qualifications
- Professional verbal communication skills in Arabic and English, with the ability to convey messages in a polite, engaging, and motivating way.
- Native Arabic Speaker
- Understanding of marketing principles, including audience segmentation, lead generation, and engagement strategies to drive registration and attendance.
- Prior experience in a similar role (such as sales tele-calling, marketing support, or customer service) with a strong focus on relationship-building and lead generation.
- Proficient in internet research and Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team, including the flexibility to occasionally attend events outside standard working hours.
