Job Purpose
To plan and organize End to End processes of unserviceable components from receipt, inception, and dispositions and to deliver timely and cost-efficient components support to aircraft operations. Ensures effective administration of components life cycle cost through technical due diligence, shop periodic reviews, identifying opportunities for component repair cost reduction. Conducts supplier performance reviews to ensure effective communication and expectations from the suppliers to control the component life cycle for optimum utilization. Leads and manages Total Component Support (TCS), logistics, expediting and repair teams to bring in time and cost efficiency in the component pool/ repair cycle management.
Key Result Responsibilities
Provides leadership and mentorship to reporting lines to achieve KPIs by the team members. Builds KPIs to bring clarity and challenge into the defined roles to bring cost efficiency into the function and department objectives. Measures, manages the service levels of PBH contractor, escalate the SLA variance, core return TAT delays to improve performance and mitigate cost leakages through delayed part return and over and above cost. Builds day to day liaison with Line & Base maintenance to induce better coordination on the installation/removals of the pool components to avoid delays/penalties. Effectively use AMOS data analytics to study the trends and identify areas of corrective actions related to rotable, repair, logistics management Collaborates with TCM team to support timely transition from TCS to TCM phase for pool management; Reviews and improvises the SOP to align the processes related to rotable under pool contract, repair, logistics management function for smooth transition from TCS to TCM and stable operations in TCM phase. Initiates engineering inquiries to get disposition from CAMO technical services. Engage with cross functional stakeholders to effectively manage and support repair cycle through an effective control across the supply chain process. Assists in assessment and development of new repair service providers to support AirArabia expansion of operations. Improvise process through continuous improvement and automation in repair and component management function. Ensures effective administration of Total Component Support program as per the agreed contractual terms with the Service Provider. Build KPI around component repair cost through initiatives such as introduction of new Repair shops, negotiating better pricing, exploring local Third-Party repair options, in-sourcing of repairs at Air Arabia workshops through building in-house capabilities.

Ensures contractual SLAs are met in terms of component availability and associated timelines; Engages with Service Provider for over and above cost estimates/claims and act as a focal point between Service Provider and ABY maintenance to achieve cost efficiency in the repair expenditure. Reviews & evaluates reasons for the parts declared scrap by repair shops/ OEMs. Provide disposition based on finding or in accordance with existing contracts and/or Supplier support conditions. Engage internally with TS, Reliability and Planning etc. and externally with suppliers, OEMs and/or aircraft manufacturer to seek resolution with an aim of achieving cost and time efficiency. Performs the technical analysis and evaluation of component repair estimates by analyzing the shop reports and the published reliability, modification data, establishing legitimacy of the charges. Ensure cost is approved as per Authority approval levels. Carries out technical & commercial analysis of disputed claims such as customer induced damage and warranties. Negotiate final settlement of the warranty claim with repairer and component manufacturers (OEM). Investigates abnormal trends through analyzing the reliability data, industry trends and engage repair stations for support to avoid cost impact and to initiate remedial repair actions for enhanced reliability and to arrest repetitive defects/trends. Reviews technical disposition & failure history of parts declared as rogue & coordinates with supplier in seeking remedies in accordance with the agreements/ SSCs etc. Maintains effective liaison with Maintenance, Planning, Technical Services, Procurement to ensure efficient planning of component maintenance activity and to ensure maximum component coverage for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Ensures procurement activities comply with company policies and aviation regulation. Negotiates repair contracts, pricing and turnaround time with vendors. Conducts regular audits of repair vendors to ensure quality and compliance. Extracts maximum economic value from surplus, slow moving and scrap items as per approved SOP.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
Minimum bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical / Mechanical engineering
Work Experience
with 5+ years’ experience within Component Repair in the Aviation industry Familiarity of airworthiness regulations (GCAA, FAA,EASA) is a must Proficient in AMOS and analytics Technical and commercial acumen to understand component shop reports/ Technical estimates Experienced in working with a team with heavy work-load schedules & ad-hoc scenarios Capable of working in adherence to policies, procedures, and operating manuals as per business needs and in line with adopted regulations and approved quality standards * Cost-oriented, and problem-solving skills
