Commissioning Manager Reports to Project Manager & Site Manager (when on Site)
By delegation from the Project Manager, the commissioning manager has overall responsibility for preparation of pre-commissioning & commissioning dossiers, preparation of all transfer sequences, management on site of all commissioning activities, and technical follow-up of vendors involved in commissioning
Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the Commissioning Manager leads the team allocated to the development of the mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning and site acceptance test dossiers for the Project
The Commissioning Manager is responsible for all issues related to commissioning activities, and will liaise directly with the Client accordingly
Able to fully understand / review / update commissioning documents such as red-line drawings, P&IDs, commissioning packages vendor/manufacturers’ drawings, spare parts lists, equipment Operating and Maintenance Manuals, Plant Operating, Shutdown (hot and cold) and Start-up Manuals, Logic diagrams, Cause & Effect diagrams, data bases and calculation records.
The major tasks (but not limited to) under the responsibility of the Commissioning Manager during the Project Execution Stage are the following:
B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation, Control or Electrical Engineering
Qualification in a major discipline of Electrical, Instrumentation, Piping...
Excellent communication skills
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in commissioning and start-up of large multi-disciplinary installations in the Oil and Gas industry (minimum of 5 years construction management and control and 5 years in commissioning).
Proven experience in managing commissioning of high value EPC Contracts ·
Proven experience in Hot and Cold transfer
Effective computer skills, Microsoft office software
Effective communication skills (both verbally and in writing) with managerial colleagues and other individuals inside and outside the company.
