Role Overview
We are looking for a Commis Chef to join the Calo Kitchen team. In this role, you will work alongside the Chef De Partie, assisting with meal preparation, maintenance, logistics, safety, and sanitation. Your success will be determined by your ability to support the kitchen’s efficiency and safety while maintaining the quality of meals produced for our customers.

Main Responsibilities

• Monitor kitchen equipment and report any issues to superiors
• Continuously develop culinary knowledge to produce high-quality meals
• Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients, sauces, and seasonings
• Assess inventory and request resupplies when necessary
• Plate meal items under the Chef De Partie’s supervision
• Dispose of spoiled items and ensure adherence to sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
• Produce high-quality plates in terms of both design and taste

Ideal Candidate

• 1–3 years of experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality and catering industry
• Proficient in English communication
• Good understanding of food, health, and safety regulations
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility is a plus
• Must be currently based in the UAE
• Able to work rotating shifts depending on the company's needs (day, afternoon, night)
