The role of the Cloud Engineer will be to deploy,
debug, and execute initiatives related to cloud computing. They will design,
develop, and maintain cloud-based systems, ensuring efficient data storage and
adherence to security policies. The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of
emerging technologies, platforms, and applications and an ability to customize
them to help our business become more secure and efficient.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment,
including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy
governance and security
Analyze existing operational standards, and processes to
identify and implement improvements
Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being
transformed and/or modernized
Staying updated on advancements in the field of cloud
computing to advise businesses and clients on industry best practices
Working with the Information Security Analyst to ensure the
protection of data in computer systems
Troubleshooting issues pertaining to cloud application
failure or security flaws
Act as a level 2 technician on the IT Service Desk for
escalated tickets in relation to cloud
Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and
document problems, and implement preventive measures
Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based
initiatives, providing associated training when necessary
Work alongside the Information Security Analyst to monitor
Microsoft Sentinel
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or
other relevant subjects OR equivalent in industry experience
3-4 years’ experience as a cloud engineer
4+ years of Microsoft Azure experience involving design,
deployment, configuration and optimization
ITIL V3/V4 or has a clear understanding of Incident,
Request, Problem and Change management
AZ-900 certification
Manage Engine Service Desk Plus and Endpoint Central
Experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management and prioritization skills when
handling multiple cases
Experience with IT Ticketing system (Manage Engine
experience a plus)
Full English proficiency is required
