JOB PURPOSE



The Chief Officer - Private Content Planning is responsible for the development of social media and website content, from start to finish, in line with the Content Plan from the Private Content Planning Section Head.He/she is responsible for sourcing, editing, and posting content across Leadership social media platforms in line with the Content Plan, as well as developing social media captions in Arabic and/or English.Additionally, he/she is responsible for sourcing and editing photos and videos for news content, to be used by the Editors in press releases.The Chief Officer - Private Content Planning is also responsible for sourcing and editing Leadership content for use across the GDMO website.The role holder is expected to have strong teamwork skills and carry out his/her duties in accordance with the relevant business policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities



General Responsibilities


·     Support the Private Content Planning Section Head through the execution of content creation for social media and websites, across GDMO and Leadership social media accounts and websites


·     Work collaboratively with other Chief Officer - Private Content Planning, to carry out content planning, content development and execution of campaigns in line with the Content Plan



Social Media and Website Content Planning


·     Assist the Private Content Planning Section Head to identify photo, video, graphic design and animation requirements for social media (for GDMO and Leadership social media accounts)


·     Assist the Private Content Planning Section Head to identify photo, video, graphic design and animation requirements for websites (GDMO and Leadership websites)


·     Assist the Private Content Planning Section Head to identify photo, video, graphic design and animation requirements for news (related to Leadership)



Social Media and Website Content Creation


·     Develop social media content for GDMO and Leadership social media accounts and websites, including photos, videos and graphics, using platform-specific formats and editing techniques, making sure that the content produced follows the brand guidelines


·     Develop copy for social media captions and/or content (text overlay or text-based posts) in Arabic and/or English (for GDMO and Leadership social media accounts and websites)


·     Source and edit photos and videos for websites (GDMO and Leadership websites) for campaigns as per the Content Plan, using website-specific formats and editing techniques, making sure that the content produced follows the brand guidelines


·     Develop copy for website content (GDMO and Leadership websites) in Arabic and/or English


·     Source and edit photos and videos for news content (for Leadership), to be shared with media entities, ensuring formatting is in line with TV/print media as needed


·     Source and edit photos and videos for news content (for Leadership), to be posted on GDMO's website


·     Produce content for social media using archive content (photos/videos) and information received from Leadership


·     Produce content for print media using archive photos and information received from Leadership


·     Process requests from other departments for Leadership content (existing photos/videos in the archive, quotes/statements, live interviews to be scheduled, trips and engagements, etc)


·     Work with the MCR Operator to ensure smooth live event video streams to social media channels

Experience Required



Functional Experience


·     A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role



Leadership/Supervisory


·     A minimum of 3 years working in a team



Education and Qualification Required



·     Bachelor’s degree in Communication, or Marketing
