Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
Carryout site survey / site measurement for carpentry finishing works on-board and pass on to workshops for further action. Read and understand work instruction and drawings including colour finish. Carryout removal, repair and installation works on board. Carryout panelling, ceiling and other interior finishing works. Carryout doors and windows installation on board. Carryout installation of cabinets, coaming works, handrails, soft furnishings etc. Ensure proper housekeeping, daily maintenance of machines and tools in safe working condition. Communicate with supervisor about any unsafe condition, noticed malfunction of tools and machinery. Prevent excessive wear, tear, breakdowns and wastage of materials, consumables etc. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
Experience / Qualification & Skills:
Secondary School Relevant Trade Apprentice Minimum 5 years relevant experience as a Carpenter in Marine /Shipyard industry.
