Exhibit a friendly and professional demeanor in all guest interactions, warmly welcome and orient guests and provide effective and efficient guest service Must possess extensive knowledge in F&B Service and answer all queries associated with it. Provide proficient and professional Food & Beverage service to the guests by meeting and where possible, exceeding their expectations About you:Key Responsibilities Ensure hostess desk/door is always manned so that all guests receive a friendly & prompt welcome  Schedule dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for customers according to the Restaurant Reservations SOP  Actively usesthe standards detailed in F&B Enquiry/ Booking checklist when taking Restaurant enquiries or bookings Greet guests, and escorts them as required. Must familiarize with the menu to answer guest’s queries  Ensure that all complaints are promptly attended to and check with the guest for Feedback. Maintain knowledge of all in-house services as well as local information and must be able to assist guests as per their enquiries  Identify guest’s needs and expectations correctly, including those with special needs, and provide appropriate products, services, or information in line with Heart of Jumeirah. Inform staff on next shift about special needs or as necessary  Maintain working knowledge of the dining room layout, table numbers, stations and colleagues working during each shift Answer telephone within 3 rings using the JI Standard script and respond professionally Capture all guests source data with utmost accuracy (in-house, residents, outside tourist, BU) and consolidate per shift. Responsible for the collection and input of any relevant guest history in profile  Complete cleaning, opening & closing checklists when instructed by senior colleagues. Assist in recording inventories/ stock-takes as required  Ensures that all menus, wine lists and dock presenters are clean and in top condition  Maintain the privacy of all guests by following strict confidentiality and non-disclosure protocol  Attend all training sessions and meetings on a consistent and regular basis  Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management and reporting manager  Ensure adherence to departmental policies, HSE processes, standard operating procedures, Jumeirah grooming standards and instructions enabling delivery of luxurious service to guests and in line with Jumeirah standard of excellenceQualifications Essential Highschool diploma or Secondary education Desirable Degree/Diploma in Hospitality IndustryCompetencies  Technical Competencies  Microsoft Office (Basic Knowledge)  Micros, Epicure Restaurant Reservation system Language Competencies Proficient in English (Read/Write/ Speak – Essential)  Proficient in additional language (Preferred: Read/Write/Speak)Behavioral Competencies  Emphatic, Courteous and Polite  Proactive approach to assist guests displaying positive body language  Team Player, Pro-active listener  Strong Organizational skills  Respects values and cultural difference  Strong Customer service orientation and ownership  Reflect professional image in line with Jumeirah grooming standardsExperience 1-2 years’ experience in guests service-related work in a 5-star hotel in Casual/All Day DiningAbout Benefits:We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams (AED), the local currency of the UAE.
