Business Development Manager

Our client is a prominent UK-based supplier of Art, Textiles, Design, and Technology resources, serving educational institutions, students, and artists globally. The company is now expanding its presence in the UAE.

They are looking for a Business Development Manager will lead efforts to expand the market presence and sales of educational resources to schools, retailers, and distributors across the UAE. This role involves developing and retaining strategic relationships, understanding market needs, and driving revenue growth through targeted initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Development:
   • Create and implement a business development strategy to expand the educational resources market in the UAE.
   • Identify new opportunities and market segments for growth, maintaining a robust pipeline.
2. Relationship Building:
   • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as school administrators, educational institutions, retailers, and distributors.
   • Act as the main liaison to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships, maintaining a high prospecting activity level.
3. Market Analysis:
   • Conduct market research, track industry trends, and monitor competitor activities to stay ahead.
   • Identify new opportunities and suggest product/service innovations, proposing strategic partnerships.
4. Sales Management:
   • Drive sales efforts to meet revenue targets with effective outreach and tailored proposals.
   • Present solutions that address client challenges and demonstrate the value of educational resources.
5. Collaboration & Team Leadership:
   • Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer service teams to enhance offerings.
   • Lead and mentor a team of two business development professionals, fostering collaboration and performance.
6. Performance Tracking:
   • Track sales metrics and customer feedback, providing regular reports to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's in Business, Education, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
• Experience: 7-10 years in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in education or educational resources.
• Strong relationship-building skills with knowledge of the UAE education sector and its cultural dynamics.
• Proven ability to meet KPIs and revenue targets
