BMS Technician

Your Opportunity  


We are looking to hire a BMS Technician who will be responsible for operating and maintaining the BMS Systems and its associated plants equipment, including monitoring specialist contractor to ensure satisfactory completion of allocated planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and remedial repairs on BMS, HVAC systems and the associated equipment.


The ideal candidate should be capable of making adjustments to BMS system to provide operational effectiveness and continuity of service.


This role will work closely with our Engineers and technical team in one of our prestigious contracts in Abu Dhabi – Rihan Heights
 


Key accountabilities


  • Monitor, control and maintain the operation of BMS system and be able to provide proactive intervention, follow up and clear system alarms and escalate equipment faults/failures to appropriate team members or supervisor.
  • Capable of making adjustments to BMS system to provide operational effectiveness and continuity of service.
  • Should have full understanding of various control parameters of HVAC System
  • Sound Technical Knowledge of HVAC, AHU, Heat recovery systems
  • Maintain up to date knowledge for the safe and efficient performance of all duties.
  • Participate in overtime, shift work and/or out of hours working as governed by the necessity to maintain continuity of operation of essential plant and systems.

Specific requirements


  • 3 years’ experience in a building services / facilities management environment with 2 years of relevant experience in BMS systems.
  • Experience in building maintenance is essential
  • Experience operating in a facilities management environment is desirable.
  • Diploma in electrical or electronic engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Proficient and able to demonstrate a complete understanding of Building Management Systems and associated equipment
  • Able to foster good relations with colleagues and other departments and be a good team player.
  • Flexibility, excellent attention to detail, ability to identify key issues and manage an environment of innovation and regular change.
  • Able to work under stringent deadlines and challenging environment.
