The AV Technician is required to support corporate meetings, seminars, and conferences by providing reliable AV setups and support. The role involves handling equipment for presentations, webinars, and hybrid events and requires strong technical expertise and customer service skills.
Job Responsibilities
·Set up AV equipment, including projectors, microphones, sound systems, video displays, audio mixers, video conferencing tools and lighting for events.
·Conduct audio and visual checks prior to events, ensuring optimal performance.
·Operate equipment during events, including managing live sound, adjusting lighting, and handling video presentations.
· Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure minimal disruptions. Perform routine checks, maintenance, and repairs on AV equipment such as projectors
·Liaise with clients to understand their AV needs and ensure setup meets their specifications. Ensure AV systems are operational and meet client specifications.
·Inventory and Documentation
·Basic Qualifications: Diploma or ITI in electronics or similar technical trade. Certification in AV technology or related field would be preferred.
·Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an AV technician in the Hospitality sector.
·Sound technical knowledge of AV control software (e.g., Crestron, Extron) and video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
· Strong understanding of AV signal flow, from source to output, including troubleshooting audio, video, and connectivity issues.
·Knowledge of back ground music systems - BSS Audio, Cobranet
·Good communication and interpersonal skills
