Auto Mechanics

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Auto Mechanic to join our team at [Company Name]. The ideal candidate will be experienced in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicle systems to ensure safe and optimal performance of vehicles.

The purpose of this role is to maintain and repair vehicles, including diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all systems operate smoothly and efficiently.

• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and identify mechanical issues in vehicles, including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and electrical systems.
  
• Interpret fault codes and perform system analysis to identify the root causes of vehicle malfunctions.
  

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, brake inspections, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
  
• Inspect and maintain vehicle systems, including engine, suspension, brakes, transmission, exhaust, and electrical systems.
  
• Replace components such as spark plugs, batteries, and timing belts.
  

• Perform repairs on faulty parts, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, exhaust systems, suspension, and brakes.
  
• Replace worn-out parts, such as spark plugs, belts, batteries, alternators, and filters.
  
• Overhaul or rebuild major mechanical systems when required, including engines, transmission systems, and drivetrains.
  

• Diagnose and repair issues with electrical systems in vehicles, including alternators, batteries, and electrical wiring.
  
• Identify and repair faults in vehicle computer and electronic control systems (e.g., ABS, airbags, traction control, etc.).
  
• Install or upgrade electrical systems, such as lighting or entertainment units, as required.
  

• Conduct test drives and post-repair inspections to verify the effectiveness of the repairs and ensure vehicle performance and safety standards are met.
  
• Inspect vehicle systems after repairs to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
  

• Communicate with customers to explain vehicle issues and recommended repairs or services.
  
• Provide cost estimates for services and repairs and ensure customer satisfaction with completed work.
  

• Maintain, clean, and organize tools and workshop equipment to ensure their proper functioning and safety.
  
• Report any defective tools or machinery to management for repair or replacement.
  

• Accurately document all repairs, maintenance, and parts replaced in service records.
  
• Maintain a detailed log of work completed, including time, parts used, and customer feedback.
  

• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with vehicles, tools, and machinery to ensure a safe work environment.
  
• Adhere to environmental and industry regulations for vehicle repair, maintenance, and waste disposal.
  

• 2-5 years of experience as an automotive mechanic, with a strong understanding of vehicle systems and mechanical repair techniques.
  
• Experience with a variety of makes and models is preferred.
  

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training in automotive repair is preferred.
  
• Certifications:
  
  
  • ASE Certification (Automotive Service Excellence) or similar industry certifications are highly preferred.
    
  • Any other relevant certifications in vehicle repair or mechanical services.
    

• In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, including engine mechanics, transmission systems, suspension, brakes, and electrical components.
  
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and automotive repair equipment.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  
• Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to meet safety and operational standards.
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and team collaboration.
  
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), kneel, bend, and work in tight spaces.
  
• Comfortable working in varying environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.
