About the Role:


A new opportunity has become available at Dubai's favourite neighborhood hotel for an Assistant Outlet Manager. The Outlet Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of Lah Lah, Zabeel House's signature, award winning restaurant. This hip and trendy venue is a bustling haven in The Greens and has a reputation for great food, exceptional service and unbeatable ambiance.


Lah Lah serves traditional food from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan and more...  Since opening, Lah Lah has been a favourite within the Green community as well as in wider Dubai.  With an outdoor terrace for over 200 people and an exceptionally designed indoor area, Lah Lah is the place to see and be seen.


In this role, the Assistant Outlet Manager will also oversee our Pool as well as the event space located next to Lah Lah.  This is an ideal role for someone looking to oversee more than one venue and develop their skills in an enjoyable and engaging venue.


The main duties and responsibilities of this role:


  • Ensures that all colleagues’ activities adhere to and support the Company Quality Standards.
  • Applies creative solutions and proposes ideas to grow, develop and improve the business.
  • To assist the outlet manager in the preparation of the department budget and the sales and marketing plans.
  • Achieves sales and profit targets and enhances the margins through effective stock management and minimizing controllable costs.
  • Ensures the highest levels of service and courtesy are provided to guests.
  • Maintains departmental Standard Operating Procedures and ensures that all colleagues have a working knowledge and follow the SOPs all at all times.
  • Manages the level, consistency, and quality of table and/ or counter service of all menu items.
  • Consistently monitors quality of food and beverages being served and service quality, escalating any major problems/ complaints to Senior Management.
  • Actively promotes the use of up selling techniques within outlet to exceed guest expectations and increase revenue.
  • To conduct performance appraisals for all employees in the outlet to discuss existing performance and areas of improvement.
  • Takes full responsibility of the outlet.
  • Actively seeks and reviews customer feedback in regard to food quality, service, and overall satisfaction and takes appropriate and timely action.
  • To assist in producing and conducting F&B trainings as part of F&B colleagues’ development. 

About You:


The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


Essential:


Qualifications:


  • Diploma in Hospitality Management or relevant field from an accredited and renowned University.
  • Has 2 years’ experience in working in independent restaurants 
  • Track record in working his / her way up to current position 
  • Hands on approach with a can-do attitude 
  • Experience in leading a large team 

Experience and Skills:


  • Ability to forecast business volumes as per occupancy
  • Proven track record in successfully launching promotions 
  • Proven track record in Interviewing training and developing staff
  • Involvement in a Key Worldwide Market place
  • Experience in high volume independent restaurants 
  • Attention to Detail Orientated
  • P&L / Financial awareness
  • Focus on new Worldwide market trends
