Abstracts appropriate data for reporting from inpatient, day surgery, and outpatient encounters. Supports activities of the Revenue Cycle Management Department such as assigning procedural codes, Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes and diagnosis codes at the preauthorization level.
