About the location:
What you will do
Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the engineering department, ensuring efficient maintenance, repair, and improvement of resort facilities.
Manage, train, and motivate engineering staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Coordinate and oversee capital projects, renovations, and new construction projects to enhance resort facilities and guest experience.
Ensure the resort adheres to local and international safety, environmental, and building regulations, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues.
Develop and implement strategies to improve energy efficiency, reduce waste, and promote sustainability throughout the resort's operations.
Monitor and manage departmental budgets, controlling costs while maintaining the quality of services and facilities.
Respond to guest concerns and feedback related to engineering issues, collaborating with other departments to ensure timely resolution and guest satisfaction.
What you bring
A bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in engineering management, preferably within luxury hotels or resorts.
In-depth knowledge of building systems and infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, promoting teamwork and achieving operational excellence.
Strong experience in managing capital projects, renovations, and new construction projects.
Proficiency in managing departmental budgets and controlling costs while maintaining high-quality services.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities to engage with guests, staff, and stakeholders effectively.
