ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTSMAN

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Architectural Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed architectural drawings, shop drawings, and design layouts for various projects. The role ensures that all drawings comply with project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations, supporting the successful execution of construction activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including shop drawings, layouts, and technical documentation, using AutoCAD.
• Convert sketches, conceptual designs, and engineer instructions into precise drawings.
• Create as-built drawings as required for project closeout.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs align with project requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of architectural designs with structural and MEP systems.
• Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications and standards.
• Ensure that drawings are up to date and reflect any changes in design or construction.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to local UAE building codes, regulations, and project specifications.
• Provide drafting support during project execution, addressing any modifications or updates required on-site.
• Respond promptly to requests for clarifications or revisions from the project team.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Architecture or Diploma in Autocad, or any relevant course.
• Must have minimum 5 years of UAE experience as an Architectural Draftsman.
• Work experience in contracting companies in the UAE is mandatory.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and detailing.
• Strong knowledge of shop drawings and architectural detailing.
• Familiarity with UAE building codes and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
