Analyst – ATM System Adaptation

System Design

• Ensure that all flight data aspects of ATM systems are captured for the purpose of inputs for systems design.
• Conduct tests on prototypes at developer’s facility as well as on site to ensure that newly developed software takes into account all flight data aspects.
• Ensure implementation of new systems on site as well as remote sites.

Research

• Conduct research to optimize ATM system components performance or to review current operational procedures.

Software upgrade/modification

• Prepare software upgrade plan and impact statement for approval by management for ATM system components at Sheikh Zayed Centre and relevant airports.
• Recommend and, on approval, carry out software upgrade/ modification.
• Prepare configuration control documentation for approval by management.

Configuration of ATM system

• Configure FDPS, AWP, TAWP, AMAN, Departure Flow Manager (DFLOW), Online Data Interchange (OLDI) based on the changes in AIRAC Amendments, SATI, LATSI, ATM instructions, airport requests that are approved by ATM etc. in Sheikh Zayed Centre and relevant airports.
• Prepare configuration control documentation for approval by management.

Safety Assessment

• Participate in the safety assessment of software upgrade /modification or configuration change.

Training delivery

• Prepare training materials such as presentations, handouts, knowledge verification, syllabus, schedules, etc. for new enhancements/modifications introduced to ATM system.
• Delivery of such training to operators including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) at Sheikh Zayed Centre, relevant airports and military base.

Investigation

• Investigate incidents that require technical analysis for Emirates ACC and relevant airports based on ATM instructions.

Documentation

• Prepare and maintain GANTT charts, test scripts, training reports, daily activity log, information and working paper for ICAO meetings.
• Prepare R&D monthly and yearly reports.
• Assist ATM in LATSI amendments and SATI preparations.
• Prepare relevant brochures and newsletters.
• Prepare text for Aeronautical Information Circulars and AIRAC amendments.
• Maintain SZC electronic learning centre (AviPedia).

Reporting

• Ensure that all functional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet GCAA requirements and quality standards.

Health, Safety and Environment within GCAA 

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude as per IMS available standards

Other Tasks/ Accountability 

• Perform additional tasks relevant to the role / area of expertise as requested by the management to be able to achieve the objectives/commitments.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• Diploma with 3 - 5 years or bachelor’s with 0 – 2 years’ experience in an engineering or IT discipline.
• Working knowledge of applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Project, Visio, PDF writer.
• A complete command of the spoken and written English language.
