2. JOB PURPOSE:
Agile coaches are highly experienced Agile Delivery Owners who design, establish, and continuously improve New Product Value Steam structures, for iterative delivery of prioritised organisational business outcomes. They play a mission critical role in establishing an Agile delivery culture within the Value Stream construct, working across teams and senior leaders to mobilize new skills, capabilities, and tools. They drive the adoption of FABs agile blueprint and framework via coaching and training interventions across all levels of the organisation.
Generic Accountability
Agile Coach for Bank FAB is a crucial role which supports 1 or multiple value streams at a time (an organization construct which prioritizes end-to-end iterative delivery of high value features).
Influence senior stakeholders and contribute to a change of mindset in the organisation, in collaboration with FABRIC ReFrame technology evolution change program.
Influence senior stakeholders and contribute to a change of mindset in an organisation via training and coaching interventions.
Enable the design of and mobilize Product value streams via coaching, solutioning and mentoring key roles.
Actively coach Product Owners and Scrum Masters in Agile best practices related to their role.
Launch and reinforce key Agile ceremonies & artefacts.
Create or contribute to and conduct Agile training materials that are tailored to the Bank, including, role specific training including senior leadership training.
Coach and support Product Owner in defining product vision & roadmap using Agile methodology.
Support in the creation of test & release automation strategy.
Co-lead in creation of Agile Design Office output and artefacts.
Conduct Agile maturity assessments, update scorecards and own relevant observations.
Evangelize importance of Agile Transformation. Share success stories internally (via ReFrame or Newsletters) and externally (e.g. summits, conventions or case studies)
Will be responsible for mentoring 2-3 scrum masters at a time.
Facilitate PI (program increment) planning sessions, to support value streams in coordinating delivery.
Facilitate creation of applicable product value streams following Scaled Agile frameworks.
Reinforce the importance of UX/UI in product teams and instils value of iterative delivery.
Reinforce the importance of test and release automation, and support adoption.
Design and build dashboards for tracking of relevant efficiency, quality, and technical debt metrics.
Supports in content creation and update of FAB Agile Playbook.
Liaise with other coaches to ensure we capture dependencies and learnings, particularly in the early stages.
Create and deliver awareness sessions to senior stakeholders.

• Agile Adoption and Product Enablement
o Identify candidate teams/programmes for Agile Adoption pipeline
o Engage senior business and technology stakeholders in transformation planning
o Scale beyond pilot programmes to set up value streams.
o Work with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and programme leadership to develop process for effective management of team interdependencies.
o Setup team roles, ceremonies, artefacts in accordance with the LAM.D.A framework (Lean Agile Mindset Delivery Accelerator framework).
o Deliver internal Agile trainings (Agile 101, 102, etc.).
• Artefacts and Guidelines
o Contribute to improvement and upgrade of FABagile guide by optimising guidelines.
o Share learnings, feedback, and suggestions for improvement with Agile Design Office for continuous improvement of framework and guidelines.
o Suggest changes and co-design (where applicable) processes in the Bank that were designed for waterfall projects, e.g. the funding / planning cycle.
o Help teams set up effective dashboards for measurement and troubleshooting of relevant metrics and KPIs using JIRA, Confluence, etc.
• Supporting Agile Community
o Act as subject matter expert for Agile in various Agile community events / coach clinics, Agile chapter events.
o Act as a mentor for Scrum Masters in the Agile chapter.
o Build success stories to showcase outcomes and progress of Agile adoption in transformed teams.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
At least beginner-level certification in 1 or more Agile frameworks (Eg. PSM-I, CSM, KMP, SA, etc.). Intermediate or expert level certifications preferred (CSP, CSC, SPC, CST, SPCT, PSM-II, etc.).
Minimum Experience
In-depth knowledge of team-level Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), plus one or more scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, Scrum @Scale, Spotify model, etc.)
Certified as an Agile Coach and/or Scrum Master.
Worked in Agile for a minimum of 5 years, in a mix of delivery and coaching roles, some of which was spent in a large, complex organization.
Been part of two or more Agile transformation programmes.
At least intermediate-level skills with the following tools: JIRA, Confluence, Miro.
Able to work in a hands-on role, whilst also contributing at a programme level.
Adapted to delivering training and coaching remotely.
