About the Team



The Ads team at Careem is building the future of retail media in the Middle East. As part of the team, you’ll have the chance to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment where you’ll support some of the world’s leading brands, CPGs, and media agencies in delivering meaningful ad experiences to millions of Careem users. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of sales within retail media and advertising.

What You'll Do



As a Sales Intern, Ads & Retail Media, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the growth of Careem’s Ads business by assisting the sales team in securing new business, managing client relationships, and ensuring seamless execution of campaigns. This is a perfect role for a motivated, detail-oriented individual looking to develop expertise in sales and retail media advertising.
You’ll gain hands-on experience across various aspects of sales, client management, and campaign execution, working closely with Sales Managers and the broader Ads team to achieve key revenue targets.
Sales Support: Assist Sales Managers in identifying and prospecting potential advertising partners, preparing sales pitches, and organizing sales materials. Lead Generation: Conduct research to identify new opportunities, build client lists, and support outreach efforts to expand the sales pipeline. Client Engagement: Support in maintaining relationships with key clients by responding to inquiries, preparing reports, and assisting in post-campaign analysis. Market Research: Research market trends, competitor strategies, and advertising opportunities to support the team’s sales strategy and positioning. Analytics & Reporting: Compile and analyze campaign performance data, preparing presentations to demonstrate ROI and outcomes to clients. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams across Careem—product, marketing, and operations—to deliver high-quality ad solutions that meet client needs. CRM Management: Assist in updating and maintaining the CRM system to ensure accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, and sales activities. Sales Operations: Provide administrative support, such as tracking deals, managing contracts, and preparing revenue reports for internal stakeholders.

What You'll Need



Education: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. Passion for Sales & Advertising: Interest in digital advertising, retail media, and monetization strategies, with a desire to learn and grow in a sales-focused environment. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, persuasive pitches and presentations. Analytical Mindset: Comfortable working with data, proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, or CRM tools; experience with analytics platforms is a plus. Organization & Detail Orientation: Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability: Eagerness to take initiative, learn quickly, and thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment. Team Player: Collaborative attitude, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and support collective goals
