Primary Responsibilities:


1. Production Oversight:


  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and targets.
  • Monitor equipment, materials, and labor utilization to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production specifications.

2. Team Management:


  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate production staff to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Provide ongoing training in safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, address performance issues, and foster professional development.

3. Quality Assurance:


  • Ensure all products meet specified quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Work closely with quality control teams to identify and address quality issues promptly.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure consistent product quality.

4. EHS Compliance:


  • Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.
  • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to safety policies and regulatory requirements.

5. Resource and Process Optimization:


  • Optimize workflows, material usage, and resource allocation to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions for operational challenges.

6. Reporting and Documentation:


  • Maintain accurate production records, including shift reports, KPIs, and inventory data.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Provide regular updates to management on operational performance and areas for improvement.

7. Equipment Maintenance Coordination:


  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operational.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance and address equipment issues to minimize downtime.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration:


  • Collaborate with planning, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and delivery of finished goods.
  • Participate in cross-departmental meetings to align on production goals and initiatives.

Minimum Requirement:


Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.

Experience:


  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in adhesive, coating, or chemical production.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and achieving production goals.

Skills:


  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and production planning tools.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and EHS regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Work Environment:


  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals and industrial equipment.
  • Requires standing for extended periods, frequent walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • May require working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet production demands.
