Job Description:


As an Accountant and Auditor in the UAE, you will be responsible for managing financial records, analyzing accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of financial documents in compliance with local laws and regulations. You will play a crucial role in advising on cost-saving opportunities, efficiency improvements, and the financial health of the organization. This position requires a high level of precision, integrity, and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Conduct audits of financial statements and accounting practices to ensure compliance and to identify areas for financial improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Compile and present reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries, and financial statements.
  • Analyze accounts and business plans to provide fiscal advice and guidance.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to conduct audits and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely filing of tax returns and other statutory submissions.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience in accounting/auditing, with a preference for experience in the UAE or Gulf region.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards (IFRS), and UAE financial laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office. Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, with specific expertise in Zoho Books and FreshBooks, in addition to MS Office. Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.

  • Adaptability and a willingness to keep abreast of financial and tax law changes, including software updates and new features.
