Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports, providing insights into financial performance.
- Conduct reconciliations of bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions.
- Support the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with the finance team to implement and maintain effective internal controls and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and making recommendations.
- Respond to inquiries from management and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records, both physically and electronically.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment, showing flexibility and resilience.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
