Houlihan Lokey has identified the Middle East and Africa to be a significant driver for growth and has recently established a dedicated regional energy team in Dubai, with 6 bankers on the ground. The Dubai-based team is looking to further grow and hire an off-cycle intern to support the global energy effort-going forward, with a focus on the Middle East and APAC regions. This is a great opportunity to join one of the most successful energy investment banking platforms.
Scope
You may work on transactions that provide exposure to a broad range of client industries and investment banking services. You will work with a talented, dedicated staff of professionals who will give you broad exposure to the many different issues and concerns affecting companies and investors today.
You will research and analyse financial statements, general economic conditions, industry-specific developments, acquisitions and divestitures, and investment attributes of publicly traded and private companies. You will also gain intimate knowledge of capital raisings and financing structures.

Requirements/Qualifications
Strong academic background 3-6 months minimum prior internship experience in Investment Banking or Corporate Finance Strong financial and computer skills Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail Solid accounting and finance knowledge (i.e. understanding of financial statements analysis) Some understanding of financial modelling Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
