2 x Senior Architects

We're working with an architectural consultancy in Abu Dhabi at an exciting time in their development. They have won a very high-end and prestigious residential/mixed use project in Abu Dhabi itself. 

We're now looking for 2 x Senior Architects to work with local and regional teams to prepare full design/design and build projects.
You should have recent experience and exposure to working directly with clients, consultants and contractors. Also, you should be experienced enough to quickly understand the design programme and be able to pivot at a moments notice. 
You will be responsible for the following duties:

• Carry out full supervision and administration of the project design from initiation to bid or tender phase. These involve managing, coordinating, and controlling all relevant and correct design and engineering information.Manages project design to ensure they are completed on time, and in compliance with company standards for quality/functionality and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate and provide guidance during the general and detailed planning stages of the projects with the objective of maximising Client’s satisfaction, profitability and quality.
  
• Provide leadership to project design team and develop competencies among the support staff by carrying out full supervision and management ensuring smooth execution, maintaining the high standard of workmanship, details and all its related aspects in design and construction.
  
• Oversees status and progress of project and monitors design, aesthetic, and technical development of the project.
  
• Prepare reports and submit to Client and Design Manager the status and progress of design works.
  
• Attends and conducts relevant meetings and coordinating with Developers, Consultants, Government Agencies as necessary, Contractors/Sub-Contractors, Suppliers and Vendors concerning technical details to ensure smooth compliance and execution of works and facilitate the project process.
  
• Serve as technical support to site construction staff during the construction/execution and closing-out phase of the project.
  
• Take charge of dissemination of correct information from Client, Consultants, Government Agencies as necessary, Contractors/Sub-Contractors, Suppliers and Vendors in the project team and vice versa.
  
• Perform architectural and technical design reviews, create, edit and review drawings and documents as necessary.
  
• Maintain records of projects documents (drawings, reports, reviews, and correspondence).
  
• Perform other duties as assigned
  

• Degree/Bachelors in Architecture (construction), Architectural Technology or equivalent although a Masters in Architecture is preferable.
  
• A minimum of 8 years experience in architecture (construction)
  
• Previous experience leading a team.
  
• Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities
  
• Legally able to work in the country in which the position is based
  
• Excellent knowledge in BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Acrobat PRO, Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp or Rhino and MS Office
  
• Excellent communication skills in English
  
• Excellent organisational skills
  
• Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information
  
• Self-motivated and able to take responsibility
  
• Resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties and work effectively under pressure while remaining calm and professional at all times.
