The Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager provides Regulatory Affairs leadership by understanding the European (EU, EEA, UK&I and Turkey) regulatory environment and communicating key requirements for market entry and regulatory compliance to the business. The Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager has responsibility for providing product regulatory vision and direction concerning market entry strategies and facilitating the preparation, collation and submission of documents related to the registration / import of new products and changes to existing products in Europe. This position works with minimal supervision and requires developing team and a high degree of interaction with customers, distributors, suppliers, certification agencies, government agencies, standards bodies and Kimberly-Clark employees at all levels within the organization.


In this role, you will:


  • Provide guidance to the businesses to develop and implement country, regional, and where appropriate, product specific regulatory strategies in support of business objectives. 
  • Ensure accurate regulatory submissions to secure timely approvals in support of business initiatives.
  • Monitor the development of impending and changing regulations and standards and communicate potential business impact to all appropriate levels of management. 
  • Support training on local and regional regulatory requirements to the appropriate business team members and highlight implications of differences with respect to product development, testing activities and business strategies to minimize business impact and bring speed to the registration process.
  • Support the building of capability in the business to ensure that regulatory requirements are considered throughout the product development and product sourcing processes.  Conduct training seminars on regulatory requirements and/or impending regulations to the appropriate business team members to enable the best global development activities.
  • Develop and maintain regulatory procedures to assure consistent, efficient, and compliant regulatory processes.
  • Manage self and team in accordance with the Culture of Accountability, One Kimberly-Clark Behaviors and leadership qualities associated with this role.
  • Communicate appropriately with all customers, government and regulatory agencies and peers, conducting all communications and transactions with the utmost integrity and honesty to build an unimpeachable business reputation.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:


  • A Bachelor´s degree in a relevant discipline and typically 7+ years’ experience in regulatory affairs or alternate relevant function is required.   
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of the EU Medical Device Regulation (EU) 2017/745, EDANA Code of Practice, EU Cosmetic Regulation EC 1223/2009, EU biocides regulation EU 528/2012 (BPR) and national, EU General Products Safety Regulation 2023/988 and other product regulations/legislation that are impacted by the Enterprise Markets (EM) product portfolio.
  • Well developed, advanced knowledge of certification / registration in Europe is essential. Additional experience with certification / registration in other countries is highly desirable.  Experience should include close working relationships with Business, Marketing, Manufacturing, Research and Quality functions, and excellent communication skills are essential.  Also required is demonstrated evidence of a solid background of technical knowledge and experience combined with the proven ability to successfully direct projects and influence people at all organizational levels.
  • Fluency in English and ability to travel are essential.
