About the role

The Senior Demand & Sales Planning Manager will be instrumental as a strategic differentiator in support of Dyson’s growth and customer experience.  This is an exciting new role focusing on 2 elements: 


  • Demand & Sales Planning; responsible for managing and optimizing the demand planning & IBP processes across a multi-market/channel/category portfolio.  


  • Revenue Optimisation; work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, finance, and supply to develop and execute growth & optimisation opportunities.  Your main objectives will be to use promo, pricing, SKU portfolio management analysis to optimize the company’s revenue.


Key responsibilities of the role:


  • Lead Demand/Sales Planning Transformation: Oversee the transition to a new Operating Model for demand/sales planning, aiming for best-in-class practices.


  • Strategic and Operational Growth : Act as a change agent to drive both operational and strategic initiatives, supporting the business's growth and strategic priorities.


  • Integrated Business Planning : Represent the demand planning function and lead the Integrated Business Planning process, ensuring alignment with business objectives.


  • Accurate Demand Forecasting : Utilize historical data, market trends, and sales inputs to create accurate demand forecasts. Collaborate with market planners to consolidate forecasts and maintain alignment with business goals.


  • Process and Tool Implementation : Design and implement tools and processes to support demand management principles, ensuring agility and flexibility in response to market changes.


  • Continuous Improvement and Quality Monitoring : Proactively monitor quality, accuracy, and consistency in planning efforts. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and tools.


  • Coordination and Collaboration : Work closely with Supply Chain, marketing, sales, and finance teams to balance service, inventory, and cost, and to develop promotional strategies and optimize SKU portfolios.


  • Performance Analysis and Reporting : Maintain and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing market strategies and initiatives to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.


About you
  • In depth knowledge of demand management and proven track record of delivering results in complex environments.


  • Strong understanding of market analysis methodologies, strategic planning, revenue management techniques.


  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies, financial metrics, and P&L


  • Bachelor's degree in Business administration, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field


  • Proven experience in demand planning, supply chain management, IBP or revenue management role.
