Job Description:

At Siemens Advanta Turkey, we are looking for a Senior Data Architect with a very strong background in Data Science, Neural Networks, and Machine Learning. This individual will be responsible for designing the architecture and writing data science code in R or Jupyter. ML Data Architect will need to train ML models, analyze model bias, set up and perform end-to-end model monitoring workflows, and write architectural documentation. This role will focus on predictive maintenance and conditional monitoring projects to enhance operational efficiency and equipment reliability. The person in this position will be responsible for the following:

What are my responsibilities?

• Design and implement robust data architectures to support predictive maintenance and conditional monitoring initiatives.
• Design and develop machine learning models for predictive maintenance to anticipate equipment failures and optimize maintenance schedules.
• Develop and document data architecture (ARC 42) and requirements engineering (software architecture, data product quality).
• Write data science code in R or Jupyter for PoC or MVP projects.
• Train machine learning models and analyze model bias.
• Perform comprehensive data analysis to extract valuable insights.
• Conduct feature engineering to enhance model performance.
• Validate the accuracy of predictive models and refine as necessary. 
• Set up and perform end-to-end model monitoring workflows.
• Suggesting preprocessing steps to for normalizing, scaling, etc.
• Working in an agile software development environment.

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. and/or M.S/Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or related Engineering Departments,
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in Data Analytics,
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in studies over large and complex datasets,
• Strong background in Data Science, Neural Networks, and Machine Learning.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
• Event streaming and event analytics.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms.
