JOB DESCRIPTION


Purpose


  • Support RT Team to develop strategies, capabilities and operations to deliver and sustain bottom line results. To contribute to optimization of the Road Transport operations by collecting performance data, analysing and translating in recommendations for improvements.
  • Support the business development projects to achieve continuous improvement and operational excellence across Order Fulfilment (OF)  by implementing digitalisation, artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions.
  • Cooperate with RT (Road Transport) and OTD (Order to Delivery) Teams to increase business efficiency by delivering analytical and quantitative analysis and business reports.
  • Improve RT Teams' business performance by monitoring KPI’s and making recommendations.
  • Analyse operations and market conditions to identify potential improvement areas and propose new ways of working.

Accountabilities


  • Prepare annual Targets & Resources (T&R) budget through communication with business partners and finance. Formulate expenditure policies. Quarterly prepare latest estimates (LEs) in line with cost variances and economic figures.
  • Raise purchase requisitions (PR), which will be needed throughout the year. Make sure purchase orders (PO) are updated as needed.
  • Analyse, calculate and manage the distribution Cost to Serve model, i.e. freight process for all secondary road transport. Calculate tariffs, upload those to an enterprise resource planning software (GSAP) and communicate those with business partners. Create and update shipment tariffs to dealers as needed.
  • Share the pre-billing report with Hauliers and agree with them prior to payment. Check Road Transport (RT) costs are billed correctly by the suppliers, and those are shown in GSAP accurately. Regularly make reconciliation with Hauliers to confirm fuel cost is paid as per contract.
  • Monitor and analyse secondary transport costs for fuels, LPG, and Jet A1. (Fixed & Variable) Provide regular data analysis for Distribution functions - ensure data integrity through liaison with business partners and finance. Provide feedback on items for improvement.
  • Analyse and manage non-financial & financial Order Fulfilment (OF) Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Track KPI’s and give recommendations to increase operation efficiency. Deliver analytical and quantitative analysis. Prepare reports and presentations. Coordinate monthly close with Finance. Prepare planned, actual and variance figures. Search causes for variance.
  • Support identification of opportunities and translate them into business benefits. Calculate saved money through cost-saving strategies & ideas. Lead the transformation of OF operations with commitment to Continuous Improvement. Be a visible advocate in this change and be prepared to learn with the OF teams.
  • Support technical aspects of OTD systems. Develop and deploy digital solutions to increase business efficiency and performance.

Special Challenges


  • This role involves liaison with internal & external parties. Therefore, effective communication with stakeholders and ability to influence effective teamwork to deliver business goals is critical.
  • Good understanding of contracts, contract structure and contracting process to support stakeholder requests.
  • Road Transport is a high-risk activity, therefore HSSE knowledge is preferred.

Experience and Qualifications Required


  • Bachelor's degree awarded by a university.
  • Experience in T&S (Trading & Supply) Operations, Mobility or logistics is preferable.
  • A sound understanding of distribution operations and GSAP would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required to handle big data and draw conclusions.
  • Strong collaboration with Scheduling team to understand main cost drivers and capability to analyse the outcomes.
  • Demonstrated MS Excel skills required.
  • Demonstrated presentation and visualization skills required.
  • Knowledge and willingness to work on software systems to digitalize, optimize & automate existing OF processes (Power BI, Phyton etc.)
