We are looking to hire an experienced Project Management Office (PMO) Specialist to drive project management excellence. This role is aimed at guiding the project managers internationally, rather than managing individual projects by the position-holder.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Develop, continuously improve, and implement project management frameworks, processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent and effective project delivery. 
• Monitor and support the regular updates of ongoing projects by checking project status, health, milestones, and deliverables, identifying and mitigating risks with the project managers 
• Provide project management guidance, training, and support to project teams on the best ways to enable the PMO processes, tools, and best practices in their day-to-day. This might involve training sessions, one-on-one support, or developing training materials in areas such as risk management, budget management, benefits management, resource management, change management.  
• Support project managers to ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and complies with organizational standards and methodologies.  
• Regularly analyze project and portfolio data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for efficiency gains. 
• Prepare for and/or lead portfolio review sessions by compiling necessary project data, creating presentation materials, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders. 
• Manage and maintain project management tools and software, ensuring they are used effectively and efficiently across the organization. 
• As needed, attend project meetings to discuss project progress, address concerns, and provide updates on the portfolio. This might include regular check-ins with senior management or specific project sponsors. 

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or a related discipline. 
• 6-7+ years of experience in managing regional or global scale projects, including those with significant investment funding, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints. 
• Passionate about supporting, mentoring, and coaching project managers, fostering their professional growth, and enhancing their project management skills. 
• Expert in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and familiar with project management tools (such as MS Project, Planisware, or Jira) to efficiently manage, analyze, and present project data and information. 
• Exposure to and/or experience with various project management methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile. 
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit, working effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and contribute to a positive team dynamic 

Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma certification, or similar credentials would be advantageous in this role as well as proven experience in change management strategies.
