Your Role The pricing specialist is responsible for creating and implement a strategy for FTL/LTL profitable business development in line with the overall company strategy, and ensuring a high level operational execution. This position is accountable for the sourcing and pricing of the FTL/LTL business at national level, for increasing the number of approved hauliers, increasing the number of round trip services and reducing the empty millage, and supporting the sales activities in farming existing business and hunting new business. Your Responsibilities
Monthly controlling and monitoring of actuals versus targets, and initiates corrective actions in case of deviations and reporting weekly and monthly procurement results (e.g. hit ratio of quotations)
Acquires or supports the acquisition of new FTL/LTL business and supports the account management
Promotes carrier relations and develops the existing carrier base .
Continously entry and update of new/existing carrier data in SMT (Supplier Management Tool).
Supports the FTL/LTL business development process (tender analysis, solution design, costing, pricing and service offering)
Monitors market trends and competitor activity in order to identify new business opportunities (acquisition candidates, new services, business partners, etc.)
Provide market and product related information regularly to the internal stakeholders.
Optimizing Round Trip trucks, increase RT trucks and decrease the number of OW trucks, in order to make procurement saving.
Execution of FTL/LTL carrier procurement strategy, including managing local carrier´s contacts and rates negotiations, seeking to improve pricing competitivness and expand carrier pool, in aligment with national hauliers procurement guidelines .
Ensures efficient transfer of aggreed conditions and details about transport procurement to the operation team.
Maintaining personal relationship with leading carriers and search for major new ones.
As a member of pricing team,if needed LTL and Groupage activities has to be covered and be back up of the other team members.
Prepares contracts for the regular gained businesses and updates of the prices, validity and specific conditions of existing contracts in aligment with national hauliers procurement guidelines .
Takes role and be a part of the new technological and corporate projects which are in line with carriers (e.g. etrucknow etc.)
Monitor and enforce Country regulatory compliance
Carry out its works in accordance with policies, objectives and Management System documents of Quality,
Occupational Health and Safety, Environment and Information Security.
Carry out the Emergency Team Member Responsibilities if notified
Carry out the tasks delegated from top management which are compatible with the knowledge, skills and education
