The team also analyzes data to make great decisions in the competitive marketplace through relevant and timely communication with our customers and sellers to maximize their experience.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Empower the organisation to make data-driven decisions and optimising pricing strategies
  • Deliver insights and analysis across a spectrum of key areas such as price elasticity, discount optimisation, targeted coupon strategies and so on
  • Develop and maintain pricing intelligence, enabling data-driven decision-making by senior leaders
  • Develop an in-depth analytical understanding of what drives growth for the product and how it can be improved
  • Use metrics and analytics to measure the success of the data product and make improvements as needed
  • Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the pricing tools meet the needs of the target customers
  • Analyze cost structures, profit margins and pricing models to optimize pricing strategies

QUALITIES WE ARE LOOKING FOR


  • Undergraduate degree in Economics, Operational Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or Quantitative background
  • Proven track record of a minimum of 3-4 years in a highly analytical role, ideally in an e-commerce environment
  • Firm understanding of data science and statistical methods (i.e. inferential inference, quasi-experiments, machine learning models)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract meaningful insights from large and complex data sets
  • Having strong business and communication skills, being comfortable analysing data to provide data-driven recommendations, and able to partner with stakeholders to help define key business KPIs
  • Solid programming skills in SQL as well as Python
  • R or Machine Learning basics are a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
