Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Agency Operations Manager and act as a bridge between agency functions, port offices, and the terminals to ensure seamless 24/7 cargo operations.
- Negotiate berth arrangements and prepare call schedules in coordination with local authorities and terminals.
- Coordinate vessel operations from berthing to departure, managing all relevant stakeholders and ensuring smooth execution.
- Monitor cargo operations GBS performance, track operational processes, and take necessary actions to optimize efficiency.
- Track vessel schedules and system processes and determine the most suitable cargo cut-off dates.
- Monitor non-operated vessel schedules (VRS Agent) and validate call sequences with the board, reporting any special events to relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee ongoing vessel operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and operational requirements.
- Provide quick and effective solutions to operational disruptions and unforeseen challenges.
- Manage & monitor terminal services
- Coordinate vessel sailing
- Alert Regional Ops, Lines, and Berthing Manager if the incident
- Check and share berthing window/prospects and actual schedules (report through PRS) with Lines/Stakeholders
- Order gangs/cranes and communicate call sequences (report through PRS).
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in vessel operations, logistics, or a related field.
- Good command of English, both verbal and written; required to communicate with global teams (part of the interview will take place in English),
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from related departments, preferably in Logistics, Transport, or International Trade.
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to efficiently use industry-related software and reporting tools.
- Very good time management, communication, and organizational skills,
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and operational efficiency.
- Able to work 4 days at the office in Istanbul (hybrid).
