The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Manager to join Roche Diagnostics Türkiye Management Center. The Medical Manager leads and oversees the RDT Medical  function and team (consists of 4 medical science liaisons), and plays a key role in ensuring the alignment of medical strategies with the broader organizational goals. With the team, responsible for generating medical strategies, scientific data utilization, creating awareness activities and stakeholder management. Leads and drives medical team collaboration with the respective local and relevant regional and global functions. Ensures the medical strategies and plans are ready and support organizations' vision. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, a proactive mindset, and exemplifying Roche VACC leadership qualities: Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, and Coach. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the medical function while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities


  • Mentorship and Innovation: Guide and mentor the medical team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and growth mindset.


  • Leadership Qualities: Exemplify VACC Roche Leadership qualities by being a Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, and Coach.


  • Resource Management and Delegation: Ensure that the medical team is resourced appropriately to meet project demands, effectively delegate tasks to maximize team productivity.


  • Training and Development: Identify skills gaps within the team and organize training sessions or development programs, encouraging team members to stay updated on the latest industry trends and best practices.


  • Scientific Data and Strategies: Design and implement local scientific data generation initiatives to support evidence-based strategies.


  • Medical Plans and Budget Management: Lead the development, execution, and management of medical plans including medical budget management.


  • Scientific Events: Plan and manage scientific events, including advisory boards and non-promotional medical education programs, measuring efficiency and making necessary improvements.


  • Internal and External Support: Provide medical/scientific support and training for internal staff and/or vendors, ensure training materials and presentations are updated and approved.


Qualifications:


  • MD degree with specialization in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pathology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology or Oncology is preferred.


  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in the diagnostics or pharmaceutical industry with a strong record of accomplishment in strategy development, leadership, people management, and project execution.


  • Strong proficiency in analyzing scientific and market data, competitive activity, and HCP feedback.


  • Strategic thinker with excellent collaboration skills and a deep understanding of disease management, patient journey, medical trends and HCP needs.


  • Proven experience in guiding and mentoring a team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.


  • Demonstrated ability to simplify and communicate intricate medical information for diverse healthcare stakeholders including HCPs, associations, policymakers, and payers.


  • Significant understanding of legal and regulatory considerations impacting the healthcare, biopharma, and diagnostics industry.


  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills, and are willing to travel up to 30% nationally or internationally.
