Based in Turkey, you will be part of the Turkish marketing team. This team will be accountable for:


Bringing our Consumer Fields of Play to life in the city through key relationships with the faces (individuals and communities) & places that matter most to dimensionalize Running, Fitness, Football, and Lifestyle, leveraging our on-the-ground connectivity to youth, sport & culture


Amplifying our through complementary executions on the ground that build off Global-Geo campaigns, eg through pinnacle activations


Ensuring our Nike Sport Marketplace on the ground in Turkey shows up as pinnacle and sharply connected to our Field of Play visions


Fuelling our global engine with sharp, relevant consumer insights that can scale


Who are we looking for?


We are looking for an experienced and talented marketeer with a passion for movement, a curiosity for our young consumer, and an unrelenting desire to build deeper relationships with them. A marketeer with prior retail marketing experience, and a marketeer keen to strive for better ways to engage with our members through testing, learning & iterating. And of course, a marketeer willing to adapt on the fly, all while maintaining a positive growth mindset.


What will you work on?


As Manager, Retail Marketing, you will be part of the Turkish marketing leadership team and lead the Retail Marketing function within the market. This role will be responsible for leading a diverse and talented team focused on how we best connect with consumers in the Turkish retail marketplace, inclusive of the full Nike Sport Marketplace (Nike Direct + our Wholesale partners). Core duties will be as follows:


- Supporting our must win doors in the territory in partnership with the Geo Retail Marketing team


- Ensuring the full NSM marketplace is elevated from a visual merchandising & styling (VMS) perspective


- Ensuring key marketplace partner sales staff & ND door store athletes understand our distinct product innovation and are best positioned to present it to our end consumer


- Feeding key marketplace insights back into the Geo Retail Marketing & Consumer Construct teams


- Building, developing, engaging and empowering a high-performing, diverse team


Who will you work with?


In this role you will work fluidly across the full Turkish marketing team, and working with cross-functional marketing partners to bring your vision to life for our consumers in the city. You will work closely with the Nike Direct & Marketplace functions, at Turkey and EMEA level, and you will also work closely with the EMEA Retail Marketing & Partner Marketing teams to stay abreast of latest strategies and help share best practices.


You will report directly into the Director, Marketing, Turkey and dotted line into the Retail Marketing group in EHQ.


You will also work cross-functionally in the Turkish office with key partners such as the Turkey Nike Direct Retail Director and Partner Marketplace Director to bring together Brand and Business for impact in the marketplace. And of course, you will manage and coach a team of manager and specialists.


The shape of your day-to-day work will vary significantly, and therefore your style and influence will have to adapt accordingly. You therefore must be collaborative, intuitive, and maximise the effectiveness of individual as well as collective thinking. You must be open to the opinions and expertise of those you engage with in order to apply coherent strategy and thinking that leads to new opportunities.

Essential requirements:


  • Experience in effectively managing & winning with key partners, and an understanding of Consumer x Fields of Play offense in retail marketplace.
  • Leadership experience; building, developing, engaging, and empowering a high-performing, diverse teams.
  • Experienced marketeer, with a demonstrable understanding of the Turkish consumer, the city and Nike’s position within it, with a track record of setting a clear vision and making strategic marketing decisions within this environment.
